Gonna attend COP 11

Gonna attend COP11, Eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, Hyderabad, India, 8 - 19 October 2012

It's one of my exclusive photo taken during UNEP TUNZA Asia-Pacific Conference on Sustainable Development: The Future We Want. It was amazing experience for me.

The Conference of the Parties is the governing body of the Convention, and advances implementation of the Convention through the decisions it takes at its periodic meetings.
To date the Conference of the Parties has held 10 ordinary meetings, and one extraordinary meeting (the latter, to adopt the Biosafety Protocol, was held in two parts). From 1994 to 1996, the Conference of the Parties held its ordinary meetings annually. Since then these meetings have been held somewhat less frequently and, following a change in the rules of procedure in 2000, will now be held every two years.

The Tenth Ordinary Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity was held in Nagoya, Japan (18 - 29 October 2010).

Government of India in association with Convention on Biological Diversity(CBD). Governments from around the world and international experts on biodiversity are expected to participate in the deliberations.

In conjunction to the main conference,Centre for Environment Education(CEE) will be hosting an International Conference on Biodiversity Conservation and Education for Sustainable Development for Ministry of Human Resource and Development(MHRD) in association with UNESCO and CBD from 13th-14th October, 2012 at Hyderabad.

South Youth Environment Network(SAYEN) Secretariat, CEE, India will be hosting an event, ''Young India for Biodiversity Conference” from 12th – 14th October in partnership with MoEF , TERI and YETI. This event will bring in youth from across the region will give them experiences and learning about ethics and values related to Biodiversity conservation.

The youth will give their inputs to the declaration which will be shared and discussed with the members of the COP11 event.

Waiting for next amazing experience to gain in this conference.
Thanks to CEE for inviting me again.
